Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic derived from Streptomyces fradiae. The addition of tartrate makes Tylosin soluble in water.  Tylosin is effective against gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasma. Interferes with protein synthesis by inhibiting bacterial 50S ribosome, soluble in water.
