These kits can also be used to isolate large constructs, such as BAC, PAC, and P1. The protocols provided a simple, rapid, and efficient method for the isolation of highly purified plasmid DNA.

Plasmid prepared by this method can be used immediately for many routine applications requiring highly purified plasmid DNA, such as DNA sequencing, restriction digestion, in vitro transcription, library screening, ligation, and bacterial transformation.
