Media bottles are manufactured from high quality, borosilicate 3.3 glass. Glassware is chemical resistant and are ideal for storage of a wide range of bioreagents, culture media and biological fluids. A low coefficient of thermal expansion (3.3), provides temperature resistance that is far superior to that of standard lab glass (or soda lime glass).
Glass can withstand temperatures from -70 to 500 °C, permitting repeated use in freezers, microwaves, autoclaves and dry heat sterilization chambers.
All bottles include a drip-free sealing ring as well as a standard blue polypropylene (GL45) sealing cap. Bottles are also available with green, purple, white and yellow caps, or in an assortment pack containing two of each color. We also offer standard media bottle caps as well as high temperature caps rated for use up to 180 °C.
