Amphotericin B is a broad-spectrum polyene anti-fungal antibiotic originally extracted from the fermentation broth of Streptomyces nocus. In molecular biology, it is usually added to the cell culture media as an antimycotic supplement. This new formulation contains Na Deoxycholate balanced with sodium phosphate. It is gamma irridiated to eliminate the endotoxin contained in Deoxycholate for cell culture purposes.
These amphotericin products (soluble and non-soluble) are in powder form.
