2,2’-Bipyridine are brown crystals that are used as a reagent for the colorimetric determination of iron. It is a base for oxidation-reduction indicators. 2,2’-Bipyridine solution is used to confirm presence of ferrous iron in soils.
Store at 2-8°C and protect from light.
