NGM (Normal Growth Medium) Plates

• 0.25 % Peptone
• 50 mM NaCl
• 25 mM [PO4]
• 5 ug/ml Cholesterol
• 1 mM CaCl₂
• 1 mM MgCl₂
• 2 % Agar

HGM (High Growth Plates) Plates

• 2% Peptone
• 50 mM NaCl
• 25 mM [PO4]
• 5 ug/ml Cholesterol
• >1 mM CaCl₂
• 1 mM MgCl₂
• 2.5 % Agar

Use: Peptone is 8 x more than that of NGM plate, leading to thicker bacterial lawn, suitable for growing large amount of worms.

RNAi Plates

• 0.25 % Peptone
• 50 mM NaCl
• 25 mM [PO4]
• 5 ug/ml Cholesterol
• 1 mM CaCl₂
• 1 mM MgCl₂
• 25 ug/ml Carbenicillin
• 1 mM IPTG
• 2% Agar
