-This work examines a number of conditions for the extraction of includusion bodies including the use of NDSB 201. Efficient solubilization or extraction was obtained with 2 M urea, 0.2% N-lauroyl-sarcosine, 0.2% nondetergent sulfobetaine 201 (NDSB-201), 5% DMSO, 0.5% TritonX-100, and 5% n-propanol. Solubilization was efficient at concentrations as low as 0.1% for both NDSB-201 or N-lauroyl-sarcosine. The most convenient due to being easy to make ended up being comprised of the follow 0.2% N-lauroyl-sarcosine, 0.2% NDSB-201, and 5% DMSO.
